hmmm well apparently they have the lag down to 0.002 seconds so it would be nice if that is added :)
The article mentions the micheal jackson game waiting on this update. Does the kinect version of the game have features over top of what the wii version has?

Singing I think?
Yes, it does. It's going to be more like performing on stage or an actual music video. There's dance breaks, and there's singing parts, both in the same song. You also don't need a microphone since you have the kinect.
The game will have an on-screen projection of you, and apparently it differentiates loose clothing and long hair from the actual player movements. At points during the songs, fireworks will actually shoot from your hands on the screen and such. Supposed to be actual immersion instead of just watching a low-budget music video. I loved the wii version when I played it on Christmas, but I am waiting on the kinect version for myself.

Yep, I guess they found the source of a bottleneck in the USB transfer rate. Apparently, accuracy is improved and there's going to be a lot more detection points. I think that some developer had mentioned finger-tracking a month or two ago, supposedly that is going to be possible with the new update too. I wonder if any of the improvements are due to open-source PC drivers?
Heres to hoping for AvatarKinect and, in turn, heightened accuracy.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

0.002s?? It takes 33ms to aqcuire an 640*480 image, the processor takes anywhere from 30 to 60ms to generate the 320*240 depth image (depending on which source you believe), the 100kbytes image is tranferred to XBox GPU memory, and the shaders start working on the picture. And all this in 2ms? Obviously "lag" is defined in La-la land..

I am rather suprised by the new features, pleasantly so that is. This could sell well, perhaps push some kinects out to uber jackson fans.
