Ever since I joined this forum, I've always wondered what your username meant. I started and finished Samurai Champloo this week and now I know. The world keeps on spinning.

few reasons why I chose MUGEN...and yes the number 1 reason is samurai champloo..I'm a HUGE fan! and M.U.G.E.N the PC emulator (the one with sprite battles) and MUGEN the sword of Kanda from the anime/manga D Gray Man..but you are right Samurai Champloo was definitely the main reason :D

i hated samurai champloo ending so much! i liked the characters and the action though. especially that graffiti rap episode XD

Hooray fanboy devs, slowly filling the industry with their hate. =P

Did he say anything wrong? He shares the same views as many of the other smaller devs that develop games for the downloadable platforms. Nintendo fucked up, I think he has the right to judge their mistakes as mistakes, instead of just sweeping them under the carpet and just ignoring them.

Its the way he is broken down in his view. He came in as a raging bull about no demos, then admitted to there being demos. This is a typical sign of an overheated fanboy. Ever discuss something with a fanboy that was blatantly batshit insane? Eventually they conceed some of their points and break down immediately after blurting out something nonsensical.

Combine that with his need to drop a "fuck off" for sensationalism further promotes the idea that he doesn't believe his product can stand on its own, so he needs to draw the praise from the anti-Nintendo crowd, hoping they'll support him just on that reason alone.

It's a pathetic way of going about working in this industry, and he should furthermore realize he's burning a bridge he may someday regret. Unfortunately, this is only one example of rabid fanboyism breaching into the industry. Quite a few devs have outright shunned one company simply because they were a fan of the competition.

Raging hormones, its not just for teenagers anymore.

His an independent developer, he can say, do or burn whatever he wants. He has no obligation to suck up to anyone. His points are also solid. Nintendo have demos for only a few titles and even those are only temporary, the system is absolute bullshit and it's one of the reasons they're so far behind with their network.

He also has around six other better platforms to develop for, he'd probably like to release his game on the Wii, but he knows his efforts will be worthless and so like many other 'talented' small developers, he avoids the system like the plague. Why jump through several hoops to be a part of a network that most likely won't help the sales of his game?

I'll also point out that deciding not to work on a system does not mean that developer is a fanboy, these guys aren't forum warriors, they run businesses, make friends and sign contracts within the industry. Nintendo are being difficult to small developers, so those developers will critisize and avoid the platform. Why develop for a publisher who obviously doesn't give a shit about your product, your team or their own system?

Not really. Indie devs are still in a market that they rely on the hardware makers. Pissing one off bodes poorly. He talks about buidling an entirely different game for the 3DS. Not if Nintendo says "Hey remember what you said to us a few months back?" and denies them a dev kit.

That's the problem with society these days. People think they can just say whatever they feel like without consequence. This is why I like the main bad guy from the Saw movies. He finds these people and kills them. It's a good policy. =)

Nintendo Wii is desperately in need of platformer games.

I see what you did there...

Also, your example Mendicate Bias is completely wrong and false. And what's wrong with opinions?

Your insightful and in depth argument totally swayed me.

I know that an M5 is better than a Corolla because it has higher hp, better breaks, greater torque etc.

A developer can say it is better to release games for XBLA over Wiiware because XBLA has far more games that make a million, better advertising, permanent demo availability, patch support, higher memory cap, etc.

How is that statement wrong. What advantages does Wiiware have over XBLA for a developer? Even the number of people that download games on Xbox is far greater than Wii. So tell me what is false about my statement?

As for opinions, they are worth nothing when discussing verifiable data, what don't you understand about that? Just because it is someones opinion that the Earth is 10,000 years old doesn't make it a fact. Just because it is your opinion that WOG sold 2 million doesn't make it true when all available data shows otherwise. Unless you have data to back up your opinion it is worthless. You will learn this when you get to college.

The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

I'm wondering when someone is gonna pick up on his true quote: No demo?? F**k off!

Should that equate to Nintendo can f**k off?

^^^ i think it just means that the lack of demos is some BS and he's not entirely wrong
