Forums - Sony - So How's That Free Realms?

I was able to fire it up and play some.  For me, it is kind of what I thought it might be, the anti-Home.  All the issues one had with Home aren't here (one could say that Home does stuff that this doesn't).  Have a world with a number of mini-games out of the box, plus an RPG leveling up stuff, and a number of areas you can gain skill in.  The graphics aren't as good as Home though, and sometimes the graphics glitch out a bit (mainly from the weird camera angle).  Now, need to just figure out how to exit the game from in the game.

Early on, I would give it a thumbs up.  Now, looks like I am a level 2 Ninja.

Definitely agree with this.  Home should get a massive overhaul to be a little more like Free Realms.  The graphics should stay as they are, but the world and mini-games should be more like Free Realms.  Having it one big world, instead of just places you choose from a menu, would make you feel like you are more a part of that world.  Probably would get Home's traffic up, as well.  I mean I go on Home maybe once a month.  But I can see myself playing Free Realms at least once a week.

Around the Network

Home =/=Free Realms

No idea why people are comparing the 2 as they are not the same thing. One is an RPG the other is just a glorified means of networking and advertising.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Well, Home has started to take on a life of its own.  Free Realms is a different beat.  I think it is preferable to Home on a whole, but each have their own strengths.

I don't think Home will or should become an MMORPG.  I guess mostly for me, I think it would be better if Home was more like a large island you explore.  The same environments and locales, but only connected together seamlessly.  This way you could just run to where you wanted to go, instead of getting there through a menu.
