3. GC - Nini's worst console but still not bad

Gamecube had Metroid Prime on it. QED.
Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.
If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.
^and RE4 which those 2 made the best game combination last gen
yeah but it didnt have another game that can match metroid prime
I only had a Cube and a PS2... Before I found the Cube at the back of a Zellers in the bargain bin, I assumed the Cube would be a horrible system and not worth the money or time to bother with. (I got the cube for 99$ Canadian with a game and mem card, when everyone else was selling it for 200+ Canadian). I was a big Sony fan back then due to FF7, Crash Bandicoot and Gran Turismo. I must have had my PS2 for at least a year at this point and when I brought home the Gamecube it ended up becoming my go to system. I attribute some of this to great games like Wind Waker and Metroid Prime at first and then it grew into a larger love affair with about 30+ games. I went without playing the PS2 for long stretches due to feeling pretty burned on the PS2 front. Gran Turismo 3 was GT2 repackaged, what a let down. Crash Bandicoot went into suck mode and FF adapted the worst voice over people ever! I loved Jak 1, for awhile it was my favourite game from last gen... so I grabbed Jak 2 thinking it'd be just as good... WHAT A LET DOWN! That's about when I started having memory card problems and lost all my game saves. Worst mem cards ever Sony! They were designed to be too small so you'd have to keep buying more cards and they didn't last worth jack. Never mind the fact that the second mem port on the PS2 was useless due to devs not implementing it in their game save options.
In the end I loved my Cube more then my PS2... it was quite a shocker for me. I really expected to love my PS2 a lot more and barely play the Cube. I was wrong...
Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.
i had all of them, i liked the ps2 the best, the least i played was my gamecube, but i loved that thing too....idk maybe the dreamcast was the worst?.....yeah....im gonna say dreamcast.

You clearly never played Gitaroo Man! It was INCREDIBLE!!! Now there is a game that needs a sequel, and not some dodgy psp remake. (This isn't sarcasm. I love this game)
As for consoles. PS2 > Dreamcast > Xbox > Gamecube
I never bought a cube, never saw the point. The best game on the xbox was burnout 3. Sure the PS2 had it as well, but at least on the xbox you could use a custom soundtrack and banish with the emotastic EA Trax. Seriously, whoever they paid to put together that track list should have been fired. Then shot. Then burnt.
Yes
I have all four systems.
I traded a Vectrex for my DC setup.
I paid $100 for a three-month old Xbox.
I paid $40 for a PS2 because it was thought to be broken.
I paid $40 for my Gamecube because there was no demand.
I still have the PS2 and Xbox hooked up. The GC has been supplanted by my Wii.
Had I gotten the PS2 before the Xbox, I don't know if I ever would have gotten an Xbox because the type of games I like (classic collections, RPGs, puzzles) were more prevalent on the PS2. That being said, the Xbox continues to function as a very good DVD player for me and I play much more on it than I ever thought I would.
Today, the PS2 and Xbox get used some for gameplaying. The DC has been put away -- but can be brought out on a moments notice.
If I had to rate them:
1. GC (very underrated to me)
2. PS2
3. Xbox
4. DC
But they are all very very strong.

| NintendoTogepi said: Last gen was sorta meh...PC gaming truly shined a lot from 1999-2006, and was far better then console gaming IMO (this gen console gaming seems to be much better so far). Anyway... 1. PS2....the game selection is simply awesome. It had by far the best game selection. (although IMO not as good as people say) It was also pushed the most and had the second best controller. 2. Dreamcast...it had quite a few good games and was very innovative. Shame it died :( 3. GameCube....with little to no third party support and some of the worst first party games ever made by Nintendo. On the plus side, the few great games it did have were amazing, and it had the best controller, as well as the one single best game made last gen 4. Xbox....yeah...big ugly controller, VERY few games, huge system, I don't like Halo and pretty much a bust of a console, terrible, I can't really say there was a single exclusive game I truly enjoyed PS2 > DC > GCN > Xbox Note: I don't own an DC, but my cousin does and I played it a lot, I also don't own an Xbox, but my other cousin does and I also played it quite a bit. I didn't have a PS2 for a while but my DC owning cousin did :O he finally gave it me this year. |
Are you kidding? Last gen was awesome. Online with XBOX, awesome 1st party games on the GC, and huge game variety on the PS2 made the PC pale in comparison, it's now that the PC is getting big exclusives and has better games overall.
