Long story short Christianity is very complex you can't stereotype all Christian's into a single denomination. Some believe in ghosts , others in demon's and angel's and some don't even believe in God though I don't consider those denominations Christian.

Well that makes no sense. Of course they're not Christians (or even religious for taht matter)/

Thats the problem they consider themselves Christian's. Theirs actually a church in the city I live in who believes that God is love and not actually God. They also believe that Jesus was just a very good man and that the Bible is a good book which we should follow to be good people.

So they claim because they believe the Bible is a good book that we should lead our lives by, and they believe Jesus was a real man that they are Christian.

Their are so many different denominations of Christianity, its pretty much impossible to rope them all into a single group.

Well if they only follow the nice beliefs (which is basically mostly everything from the New Testament, Old Testament is a bit nasty in places) then I'd actually find myself mostly agreeing with that group. From the bible it's very hard to dislike Jesus, he was a good man and exceptionally socially progressive for somebody 2000 years ago.

Yeah, but wouldn't you say he was too much of a hippie? Plus, his beliefs would basically halt all economic and technological progress in a society (ascentism, non-violence, living off begging etc.) which would lead to an overall low standard of living.

Seeing as that standard is subjective (ex. We don't live badly because in the future we will live better) then it wouldn't really matter.

That doesn't make much sense.

It actually does. In the future people will say that we lived like cavemen and look primitive. Things like: How the hell did they live without spaceships! That's insane! I don't know what would I do without my cleaning robot, I mean, they actually cleaned their houses?!

It's all subjective.

Hell yeah I believe in ghosts. Had my own experience and once that happens to a person, they really can't deny it. But it is one of those things where you have to see it to believe it. But when it happens it changes your perception on things.

I would say it's a reason why I'm still a Christian. It really does prove life after death for me. Connect the dots.. and it becomes woven into your core beliefs.

Orbs are mtly bullshit, rarely do they seem to be out of the ordinary as they say. "Ghost Hunters" seems plausable. "Ghost adventures" is incredibly fake though... but it's also more exciting, lol.

In the Chrisitan religion there are no ghosts.

so say you.

It is good to know that you are the supreme authority on the bible though, i'll keep that in mind.

Well, I'll send an e-mail to the Pope and ask him. Maybe his answer would satisfy you.

I'm not Catholic, dick.

Nice language. Very mature of you.

I think we can say that we're objectively better off than people in the Middle Ages, for example (better technology, better standards of living, massively higher rates of literacy, better education etc.). It's true that peopel in the future will probably look back at us and say we were like "cavemen". I mean who knows how things will change? Nowadays we find the ideea of not having access to running water, throwing garbage on the street or eating with our hands to be barbaric, yet it was the standard in the Middle Ages (though not in the more advanced countries of that time).
