Its not an easy decision, but I would probably say Super Mario Galaxy because it felt far more original than the other games ...

Does it have to have been bought by me this year, or originally released this year?

I got Wii sports in February, that is definately my game of the year, even if i played more on LoZ:TP and RE4.

If it is by release date, then i am afraid i will have to go with the majority and say Chicken shoot,.. erm i mean Super Mario Galaxy.
