so what do you like about starcraft and RTS games? that will help people suggest games you will actually like, the RTS genre has quite a bit of variance in style and pace.

Shogun 2 is perfect game... But I wouldn't call it a RTS... In any case if you like strategy games - try it!

All Creative assembly need to do is improve 2 things for the next game on top of what shogun 2 has

1. AI, again and again they fail, the AI needs to be Better, just pour all future resources into AI and have Shogun 2 in another place the same size. 

2. troop movements arcoss battlefeild, needs to be improved.

Age of Empires II is great, especially as it can be run from USB, so at uni, we have spread it round so we can have mass battles while skyping, it is a great way to put off work...

eitherway, he likes scify, there is no reason not to like fantasy, especialy that one... starcraft didn't get it's name from nowhere.

(WC2 is arround SC level graphics, but WC3 is most definitely still good looking)

What about the Command & Conquer series?
