Forums - Sony - Final Fantasy Versus exclusivity ... does it matter anymore ?

Overall SE has just been terrible this gen. How long has it been now versus? 6 years and counting? They need to learn how to better use their resources and time wisely.

@mad55 true, but lets be honest if there taking this long on just one console do you really think there wont be extra time adding another??? unless they do an absolute halfassed job with the 360 version. and if they are already doing it, then this is moot thread anyway

Kinda matters to me. I would buy it new if it goes to 360 however I would just rent it if it was PS3 exclusive.

I'm trying to understand the logic behind that... O_o

Me too... :|

Please do explain I'm intrigued

First my 360 friends list is 7 times larger but mostly because I got 2 tvs and 360 has its own while PS3 shares with the cable box and dvds cause of Blu-Ray. I get much more value from 360 games instead of PS3 games.

Plus I have a really nice 360 collection that looks more pimp with every new game. PS3 not so much

personally to me i wouldnt blink an eye if it was announce multiplatform, i just would wish the game makes it out in 2012 like I expect it to .

To me yes. I want my PS3 to explode playing it!

why are people assuming that it will be ported to 360? it will come to next gen consoles and the PS3 version will be the one holding the other versions back. They might even try to recreate the success they had with FF 7 and put out a PC port.

It does for me since i only own PS3. I want my purchase to go far and beyond what the other systems have. That includes having better games. Its what exclusives are all about and its what differentiates the consoles

That's kinda selfish, isn't it?  If you love a game, why wouldn't you want everybody you know to play it?  It's not like a game being mult-plat means you can't play it.  It's debateable if quality suffers when a game goes multi but I just don't believe that.

If everyone wants to play it they should buy *in this case* a ps3. I doubt a game suffers much at all when it goes multiplat so i agree with you there. It might be selfish, but there are so many more multiplats then exclusives. They are what seperates the consoles and what drives the industry. I think that you are thinking *hey why noe everyone play every game* because you do own every console, but it would be much different if you only owned one.

Nah.  You'd think that since I own every console I'd want more exclusives.  I mean, why buy a 360 if all of the games are on the PS3/PC?  If a game is on the PS3 and the PS3 alone, that justifies my PS3 purchase......but no.  I don't feel like that at all.  I just have the option to buy the best version when a game is multi.  I still hate when I go to work and there's a cool 360 game that none of my friends could play because they all have PS3's.

Besides, if I owned only one console I'd wish for MORE multi-plats.  That means more games that I can definitely play!
