The stupid thing about Snaking was that it wasn't a technique that was immediately apparent. It wasn't a matter of skill, it was a matter of knowing that you could actually do it. I didn't play much multiplayer Double Dash, and then i was wondering why i was in 4th place in online races every. single. fucking. time. I never bothered to look it up, and just chalked it up to me sucking and quit playing

It wasn't until a few years later that i figured out why, which made me all the madder.

I'll grant i wasn't very clear there, though technically there was WarpPipe, but you had to have a GC Broadband adapter to get that to work, and who actually had Broadband back then?

I meant that i never discovered snaking when playing Double Dash, nor when i was cleaning out the cups in DS, and then when i got online on DS and was losing all the time i had no idea why

Ah I see.

Hm yeah well the whole snaking thing was one of the main reasons I hardly ever played MKDS online.

not sure why but the guy has the 3D slider all the way up... the video doesn't seem all that blurry though, probably because it's already a very low quality anyway

I'm disappointed with Animal Crossing, it seems like it's gonna be the same game again, with one or two minor tweaks. I'm sad because I really liked the game on GC, even ordered it from Australia when it seemed that Nintendo will never release it in Europe... The Wii version was already too much of the very same game and I didn't even buy the game. The "city" part was a joke.

Totally agree on this.  I thought the GC version was a unique experience back when it released; even though it's not really my type of game, I liked it.  The others, particularly the Wii version, have not changed in the least.

Too bad because they could be doing some cool things with the series if they wanted to.  I love the characters (Jeremiah and Aurora were my favorites on the GC and DS versions, respectively), but I won't be interested in another AC until I hear confirmation that it has evolved.

snaking was dumb

but the one thign i love about some nintnedo games like mario kart or smash bros is the total RANDOM that can happen.

i mean you can take a veteran and a total noob (as long as the noob can drive straight or knows basic controls) and the outcome can not be predicted.  between the red shells, blue shells, random environment things, bannanas, or in smash the pokeball, hammer, environment ect you never know what could happen.

also love the handicap thing smash implemented and i beleive mario kart has something like it too.  you know in smash the more you win the lower your damage you can take before you get sent flying.  in mario kart the farther back you are the faster your kart drives.

i know some who hate it, but really how fun is it to be 50 laps ahead like in GTA or get flawless victories non stop in smash.  to me that is boring.   i would rather lose to my sister every time than deal wtih that.

No Mario Kart ever had a handicap that involved your kart going at a higher speed than usual, because it's absolutely not necessary due to items already serving a similar job. The farther back you are, the more mushrooms, lightnings, bullet bills etc. you will get.

ummm, I've never been beaten by a nub in Mario Kart before, nubs get raped by vets.

Well, that's great... for you.

Next time try to quote the person you are actually replying to.

pffft I have allergies and I don't know what I'm doing half the damn time right now anyways.
