I must say this system is truly amazing.

I was hesitating on whether to purchase it now or get it later, but seeing that 2008 is looking bright for the PS3 I took a purchase.

I purchased the 80GB PS3 MotorStorm Pack ($500), which is a nice package. It came with the 80GB PS3, SIXAXIS Controller, A/V Cables, Power Cable, Ethernet Cable, SIXAXIS Charger Cable and lastly MotorStorm the game. I purchased a HDMI cable for $7 at a Electronic store, so the A/V cables are obsolete compared to the HDMI cable. My HDTV puts out 1080p, also its a Sony Bravia 42" LCD...Cost me $1000, but who cares its Sony brand.

I bought with my PS3, Resistance: Fall of Man,  Final Fantasy XII, Madden NFL 08 and of course MotorStorm. All those games are worth the purchase just because I was looking for 2 PS3 games that I liked and 2 PS2 games I liked but never got the chance to play.

I'm about to test drive all these games in the coming hours or days. I checked Sony website to see if the PS2 games I bought worked, and they all do for the 80GB PS3. AWESOME!!!!

I setup my PSN ID and its Sorair... For those who wanted to know, the XMB is awesome I'm not a fan of trash talking online, something I really didn't like about the old Xbox and one of the main reasons I don't want a Xbox 360. And since the PS3 is free online, it makes it even more worth the purchase. I'm now also online setting up this free 5-blu-ray movie thing, so I can get these blu-ray movies and I might get a couple of movies at Best Buy tomorrow...I'm looking into getting Heavenly Sword, Lair, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 sometime this week or next week.

So I will now go and check these games out and explore the PS3 features...In the meantime I would like to note "I am one of those new PS3 owners for next weeks sales!!!!"

P.S. Divx is avaliable on the PS3 now.....Awesome.....porn on the PS3!!!!

Congrats on the purchase; Id definately suggest looking at buying R&C as well, its amazing. Ill probably add you tonight when I get chance (PSN Bladeneo).

P.S - Porn is on the PS3 on blu-ray now as well :P

remember to go into the display settings and make sure RGB is set on full and super white is on.

Lucky you! I'm getting mine next spring sometime, hopefully some of the blockbuster titles have come out by then.

Those Triple-AAA games will be released for the PS3 next year. Its worth the patience for these games. Actually I'm a bit satisfied with the selection of the PS3 games avaliable already. Considering there are some PS2 games I didn't play and some PS3 games I want mentioned above. 

Especially Unreal Tournament 3, its more of like PS3's temporarily Halo until Haze and Killzone 2 releases.

Kingdom Hearts- beat on PS2 already

Kingdom Hearts II- might buy so I can beat the game on Proud Mode and refresh my Kingdom Hearts story. 

Never was a Tales series follower, but I might look into this game though.
