Catholic Agnostic, ie I believe that at one point a super being existed, but I dont believe it still exists or has any caring for this world anymore. And Jesus was a SIMPLE BASIC HUMAN BEING WITH NO POWERS! And the bible is a historical fiction based story book.

wh-what?

You heard the man. He's stating his opinion, which is valid considering the known evidence.

I know, but to be Catholic agnostic doesnt make any sense, at least not in the way he explained it.

I agree. I never understood this whole (insert religion here) agnostic nonsense. You're either agnostic or you're not.

Dara O'Briain explains it here:

Hahaha. If you join the Taliban... you're a bad Catholic. Pricelss...

I used to be a Jehovah's Witness until I started reading the Bible in depth. Now I'm just non-religious.

You know, I never understood what kind of religion that was. Do they use the Bible? IS it some form of Christianity?

Yeah it's basically Christianity for "purists" if such a thing exists, though their beliefs are just as warped to me. JWs (I'm not writin that shit everytime) use a version of the Bible that they revised from the American Standard version called the "New World Translation" and take most of the text literally. They also believe that Satan was cast down from heaven on October 1, 1914.

There are a lot of other weird things that seemed odd to me (Death is just non-existence, only 144,000 christians will go to Heaven, no blood transfusions, etc) so I started reading the Bible myself (You're not allowed to study the Bible independantly, but my family never practiced that).

O_o

And where was he up 'till then?

In Heaven chillin with God. And I guess one day he said, "Fuck this, I'm takin over God!" And then God said, "Aite bitch get it how you live!" There was a war (I think), God won and sent Satan and his followers to Earth.

The story would make a pretty cool movie though, and I always pictured Satan with a trenchcoat whenever I heard the story.....

They should definately turn it into a movie. Especially if the bolded are gonna be actual lines.

If this poll was some months ago, I would be firmly saying Atheist (non-belief). Now I'm Agnostic, believe in a single power, that's present in everything. No middleman, no "holy" book(s)... Buddhism is nice though, pretty much compatible with me and doesn't make any rediculous claims of being sent from Deities. It is just the teachings of an enlightened man!

I tried reading many "holy" books, never found them to be all that interesting, no offence to anyone. Never finished any of them. There's many incompatibilities with my idea of God - can't put my faith in something questionable.

I am reading the Bhagavad Gita now, though. Very interesting stuff. Easy to read too (since it's in the form of a story).

I don't follow a religion per se, I follow the Law of Life as it's called. Basically, the Law of Life consists of several laws of nature that guide our existence, in the same way that the law of gravity affects our existence. There's no god or anything of the like, it's just a some guidelines that promise your life will be better if you follow them.

I have no idea what the measure is though, but I can say that I've become a much happier person after I became aware of them.
