So I was thinking... with all these shooters coming out like Homefront, Killzone 3, BulletStorm, ect. Some shooters have to be better then others, and there is no point in buying them all. In the end it's only really worth it to have 1 or 2 shooters for multiplayer. Anymore then 2 and you start getting a dust magnet. So what is the best shooter you have played in the past 12 months?

The best shooter I've played in the 12 months is Transformers: War for Cybertron. It's like Gears of War for the shooting style and has the best multiplayer gaming I've seen yet.

I know people are gonna hate this, but for pure content i gotta go with Black Ops. The campaign is better than MW2(not 1 though) zombie mode is fun, dead ops arcade is fun, i havent gotten bored with online yet, the online is more balanced. Goldenye gets an honorable mention

Oh well, doesn't really matter. It's Vanquish either way.

Sin & Punishment 2 Star Successor 

Black Ops.  This game is fully loaded with content.  The wager matches and nazi zombies are some of the most fun I've had with any shooter of this generation.  The multiplayer is also great. 

Halo Reach was a distant second.  The firefight mode is not that fun, the multiplayer mode is fun but the progression system isn't nearly as enticing as Black Ops.  The campaign is decent, especially with on-line co-op, but it is nothing spectacular comparied to Halo 2 or 3.

Overall, I think I am getting bored of shooters.  The only one I am looking forward to for the rest of the year is Uncharted 3. 

Try Vanquish. It will put hair on your chest and blow the wax out of your ears when your BRAIN EXPLODES.

I haven't played all the FPS yet, so I couldn't even tell you. I'm enjoying Bulletstorm right now though.
