Forums - Sales - Runic: XBLA Torchlight Achieves 'Highest Sale Day Ever' For Game

I played the demo, it seems well deserved. PC devs should start putting more titles on to XBLA (or PSN). Something like Amnesia would be perfect and I'm sure a few hunderd thousand extra units sold could go a long way for a small independent developer.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I already have it for my PC, but was thinking about getting it for the XBL. It plays fine on my PC, but it's tough to see everything on screen especially with the dark background. So I might still get it for XBL. I hope they release TL2 on XBL as well.

I've been thinking about picking it up since there's been so much positive word about it.  I think maybe on pay day friday I'm gonna have to pick up a points card and buy this and Beyond Good and Evil HD.

One of the best things about this generation of consoles IMO is that finally the smaller indie developers are able to have great success stories thanks to Xbox Live Arcade and PSN.  Many of these games we would have never been able to play because it was too risky to develop them in the past.

I beat the XBLA version with the Destroyer and played a bit of the post-game (I picked up the PC version back around christmas '09 and still haven't beat that version yet). For a hack n slash, the button masher setup of the controller works and mapping the hotkeys to the shoulder buttons, triggers and B and Y works (obviously more limited than the hotkeys of the PC version though). I also noticed some slowdown in one of the earlier levels (when it's crowded and there is a lot going on spell-casting wise and what not) but after that I haven't had any more issues with slowdown. Still haven't tried using the ranged characters yet. So can't comment yet on how well the controller works with ranged chars.

I'd like to see Torchlight II (hopefully it'll have online co-op) and Diablo III get ported to the Xbox 360/PS3.

Impressive sales for an impressive game. Bring on the sequel, though I'll be buying it on steam just like the first.

Great sales for a great game, between Torchlight, Full House Poker and Beyond Good & Evil House Party has been awesome

I may get it for my 360 as well. I'm already playing it on the PC though. I want them to bring Torchlight 2 out for XBLA as well.
