Hahahahahahahah, he must. I've never heard a single person ever say HL is better on a console before now.

But, I guess if you don't mind missing out on loads of custom games, Counter-Strike, TF2 maps, and a million other features, HL on a console is tits.

With that said, I haven't gamed on PC in nearly two years but that's due to the nature of annoying PC upgrade cycles, not the quality of the games.

I seriously hope you are joking. Half Life for the 360 or the PS3 is better than the PC version? You have to be kidding...right?

Library size doesn't make you hardcore. I own maybe 15 games (excluding old Genesis, NES, SNES, etc. games) right now and I'm probably more hardcore than 90% of the people on this board.

It's all about how much you play and what you play, not how many games you currently own. For all we know the OP owns 50 games, 48 of which are still in the wrapper.
No one is talking about the size of the library, or at least I'm not, but the quality of it.

In that case, there are a hell of a lot of great games in your library. Dunno how that makes you hardcore, but enjoy the games. They're some of the best out there.

That doesn't make any sense. How can someone that plays 28-42 hours a week be less hardcore than a person that plays 1 hours a week?

It makes no sense for you because your definition of being hc is different than mine. For me someone who plays only simple party games can't be hc no matter how much time he spends on it. For me it has nothing to do with mastering a game... but like I said it's my private definition.

Okay...if you have your own definition then that's good with me.

In my honest opinion...

Nerds are people who find making something funner than the act of playing with somebody else's work. Geeks are Nerds, but without the "skills".

Back on topic, still in my opinion:

The only requirement for "hardcore" gamer is working at becoming better than average on a game instead of ONLY enjoying your time.  (Online superiority, max-score, speed-run, No deaths, all upgrades, and the rest of the like.)

A hardcore gamer is a "konnichiwa" ;).

PC games are almost always better than their console counterparts.  Fact.

Keyboard/Mouse with an optional controller surpasses a controller alone.  Fact.

PC gaming is better than a large portion of console gaming.  Opinion. FALSE

Maybe its because your used to pc gaming it makes it seem better for you. Yesterday playing halo on the pc its TERRIBLE!!

Id take any controller(yes even that wierd atari one) over pc+ mouse any day.

Isn't being hardcore buying the best games on the market and dedicating countless hours to them?
