Total War comes out today and thats not on the charts but its been in the top 10 on steam for an few weeks now

Homefront is going to be a word of mouth game. I know a few of my friends waiting for reviews before deciding if they should pick it up or not. With the amount of shooters available and coming out this year people are being cautious with it. I for one have my copy preordered and paid for but that is because I'm tired of COD and Crysis 2 was just plain bad after playing the demo. Depending on the ratings and word of mouth Homefront could be a small hit or a bomb. I hope its the former because the online looks fun to me and I definitely want it to be a game that will last.

Of course I won't be playing much Homefront come the Gears 3 beta and will be splitting time between it and Mortal Kombat until the full Gears 3 game. . Shit add LA Noire to that list too. Then obviously this holiday season is ridiculously packed with games. Too many games this year

as a new IP, i agree it's gonna be a word of mouth game BUT they are putting a pretty significant marketing push behind it pulling all sorts of stunts while they are at it. Let's see how the final sales will be
