Zoroastrianism.

Seriously?

No.  I mean, a lot of the core books have been lost, so it'd be rather hard to be an actual follower.

Just giving it a shout out because it's interesting from what is left.

I mean, people are followers of it... though how they are somewhat confuses me.

From a quick read up all the traditional ceremony parts and the most sacred book have been retained. It's kind of sad that the number of Zorastrians is declining, it used to be the centre of the largest empire on earth and is quite often ignored as a Monotheistic religion that was pre-Judaism.

China accepting christianity to some level would be amazing. Not only would atheism become much weaker in the world but it would also start the spreading of our religion in the far east and Asian continent overall, something our forfathers werent able to do before.

One can hope...

I wish that people stop following anctient myths and instead use logic and reason to guide their lives.

One can hope...

Not to suggest that what you quoted was anything less than ridiculous, but this is quite offensive to almost anyone religious. Just because you don't follow any religion doesn't mean you have to look down upon those who do and insult them as such.

Concerning the ten thousand religions in the world, there are either 9,999 myths or 10,000 myths.

Christianity. I'm going to leave it at that and not get into a discussion over beliefs. This site is way to dominated by atheists to have a decent religious topic.

We are building a Creationist theme park in Kentucky.  Maybe you could meet some people there who share your beliefs, while you ride the Jonah Fish Submarine or Noah's Log Flume.

Serioulsy though, I grew up in a very religious family with preacher grandparents, so I know a lot about religion.  Thats why I'm an atheist.

You mean you know a lot about western religion.

Where is the option for LDS/ mormonism. You should know to include that oh well ill just go with christianity as it is the closest thing to it.

I never understood how Latter Day Saints are sometimes not considered to be Christians. The core is definitely there, just a bit of extra stuff in the form of the Book of Mormon, right?

We are considered christian because we dont belive in the trinity. we believe that god, jesus and the holy ghost are
3 seperate biengs instead of one.

Wait... does this mean im not human?

I'd say I'm a Christian (I believe in God) but I'm not really good about going to church or reading my bible.

So wait, you believe that the quality of an eternity of life after death is linked to sitting on a wooden chair for a few hours a week and reading a book, and yet you do neither?

O_O

EDIT: In the words of CS Lewis:

"Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important."

That is a good point, and is one of the big philosophical faults I have found with 'modern' religions.

In the landscape of eternit, it doesn't seem to be fare at all.

In the past, I thought you guys were called the LSD Church. I used to wonder of there was any connection to the drug. Then I found out it's LDS (Letter Day Saints). That made more sense.

Lol loads of people think that but it isnt.

Or they could just be different branches of the same tree...

I know a few LDS. They are good people. Only thing that bothers me is that vegetarianism is part of the philosophy but many just ignore it.
