I am very Happy as said by the title I got my 1st Platinum last night! It shouldnt come as a surprise a to what game it was.

My second favorite game this generation.. Resonance of Fate! So Im Pround My 1st Plat was a tri-Ace Game.

Now.... if look at my trophie tag thing im no trophie whore.... I really dont care about them..just because its kinda stupid that ppl go out and buy games just to get trophies then shelve them ( Wagram Kylie Dog)

but yesterday i acquired a new respect for them but the actually trophie but the Xxtra work i forced myself to do that i would have never done

like the 500 battle arena trophie

500 fights

broken into 50 ranks

with 10 fights each rank

but each rank has 10 fights with same enemie(s)

over and over again...think about how boring that is.

but i accomplished that and muyltiple other trophies that forced me to things would normally not due( for free like the arena thing...the game didnt even reward you for it minus the trophie -_-).

I have the feeling of a official closure with RoF... I think im gonna give trophie hunting a second chance..instead of looking at trophies as ...... trophies... I think i will look at them as the road to officail closure

this only applies to games i enjoy

Gratz I got an equivelant of that on Xbox today, maxed out ME2 1000/1000, was very pleased with myself. Despite them holding no value whatsoever it's still pleasing to get those menial little things

Good Job! I didn't really understand the appeal of the whole trophy thing until my brother got his first platinum in Uncharted 2. He told me I should try and get it too, but I didn't think I would be able to do it. So I tried and I worked my way through it and got the Platinum. It really can add more life to the games you enjoy. 

My first playthrough is always just for fun, I don't even look at the trophies. If I enjoyed the experience I will ususally playthrough again and get all of the SP trophies. I don't like online trophies much, the only game that I have bothered getting all of the online trophies in was Killzone 2, but that was just because it was such a monumental challenge, I felt compelled to get that platinum.

ive been playing resonance of fate, ive been going through the arena every chapter to level up lol, didnt know there was a trophy for when you finished it. but ya if i enjoy a game i probably keep playing it after one playthrough and start going for the trophies. if i dont enjoy it that much i dont keep playing it lol

gratz!  and this is why i love trophies so much.  ... it's not the trophy or my psn level ... is the extra motivation to play the games i love to "completion".  i've plat'd about 10 games and not a single one isn't a game i love.  

Congratz! I recently got my first platinum too, so I know how you feel. Especially the 500 battles one. I had to play 30 battles with each of the 42 characters of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, which was a pain in the ass. So stupid and time consuming, but awesome when I finally got it.
