The last few games I played as scum, and it was hard to avoid and direct posts to certain players as a scum, because of the risk of associating yourself with others.

I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my back now that I can post more freely.

The craziest thing is that the general consesnsus seems to be that this is common of him and he only does this when he is in fact a townie, unless it is the mafias trying to convince us that this is the case.

You saying you lie MORE as town than you do when you are mafia is troubleing. When you are mafia every time you say you think someone is scum it's a lie. Just saying you suspect someone is a lie. Best you can say that you can get away with is saying so in so is doing something that is scummy or not pro town. You even admitted to lying about numbers as scum to make the town more paranoid. 

So if you are saying you lie more than that as town what good does it do? I got killed last game in part for going after you. If that had anything to do with you lying did you not notice how your lying got the doctor killed?

1) tssss the trick is to pick up on scummy attitdes of townies, thus you don't lie when you say they play scummy ^^ and have evidence to back up your claims -> not lies.

2) i don't count lying on suspect list or distorting data such as "how many players are mafia" as these are opinions and thus lies that cannot be called by the town. Even faulty conclusions on evidence don't count as this is also opinion.

3) basically as a mafia, i see no reason to say a lie in the sense of lying with any risk of getting caught.

4) as a town, barring the roleclaims, lying can be used to trick the mafia, by lying on your actions done or to be (for example). the important thing is to consider the risks beforehand.

5) i didn't lie last game (if i recall) ^

Thank you for the reminder. I didn't realize that the game has started. I wouldn't have been able to post before this time anyways. I said I would be able on Monday. That's today!

After reading through the thread, it seems we got a good game!

Reverse psychology is ftl, worsts thing is, nobody can tell whether it's implied or whether the sentence is actually genuine , ahh the bloody internets!
