Prof I'm starting with your point 2 but instead of quoting and cutting I'm just quoting the flavor.

You dismiss it by calling it hat makes a crazy comment. Why not actually read it. How do you get from what hat says that he's being targeted and not actually being active and protecting?

He says "get you again".  He got them night one by picking FF same as one of the scum factions. Wouldn't make much sense for him to say this if someone was just going after him and not him picking the same person as the scum.

The next sentence could have gone either him protecting or being targeted if it weren't for it starting with "without those sleeping pills" He is in the middle of protecting.

Personally what I get from this is that Hat was protecting me and he at least by the flavor thought I was the target. It is still possible that Hat was however I don't see how you can get that from the flavor.

Even with the next part. Another voice grumbled, "Garrrgh! You may be tougher, but I will take you to hell with me. For the dragonflight!"

Garrrgh could easily be something of frustration and taking you to hell with me sounds like the cry of someone thwarted and killed not someone who has succeeded.  It too is open for interpretation but still far from meaning only what you think it means.

1. I agree I'm not trying to prove one way or the other. I just don't like how theprof thinks he's proven it one way for sure.

2. Sorry but you are wrong here. It's not really relevant in any instance. Even if it could prove I'm not part of a big mafia team there would be no proff that I wasn't an SK.

3. Like I mentioned it point 1 I'm not focusing on being the targeted one. Just saying that it isn't proven the other way either.

Back to what I was trying to say about the make up of the game. Hat was saying that there could be 5 in the group of characters. So that could leave 2 mafia and another role with nightkill.

Or it could be one mafia team down one to go.

If there are two night kills night 3 we know it's one family and a SK or bad Vig while if there is only 1 we won't know for sure becuase there may be another protective role although that is unlikely.

All I know is, it would have been extremely easy for NotStan to implement the following when he mentioned metalgear:

1.) Pick out a known town member that people already are a little suspicious of (metalgear was one of the names brought up near the end of day 2 for some things we found to be suspicious.)

2.) In some way, confuse the town into thinking metalgear is mafia, when he is in fact a townie.

3.) Town votes out metalgear, and the mafia begin to giggle.

That is very true, but it begs the question why Metal_Gear,  there were others being mentioned as possible suspects?  Sure he was a suspect but he was one of many, I do remember your name and A_Bad_Clown coming up a few times during the day.  So why not one of you?

Its a common mafia tactic either way unfortunately.

Why did you follow Hat?

I think is was because heph and wonk at the time still had votes on Metal_Gear, NotStan chose his name probably because of that. The only other way I really see it if NotStan was trying to make it look like Metal_Gear and him weren't on the same side by suggesting that Metal_Gear was "suspicous" and he wanted to target Metal_Gear.

i'm buying most of that personally.

to coroborate this, my theory that dsister was the random.org also would mean his whole mafia team was AFK... so he'd be the last one.
