I doubt it. But if it does, it'll be near Xmas '08.

why do you doubt it dont you think ninty will want to reach mass market price first

Ninty won't drop their price as long as Wii keeps sell as well as it is, why drop when they can't meet yearly demand as it is

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

They already have. All the PC (price cut) would do is make them gain less money. They really don't need a PC now.

A number of things will happen first before a price cut for the wii.  First is catching up with demand.  That won't be achieved until after SSBB impact calms down.  Then letting production exceed demand to build up inventory for Xmas 08.  During that time, new colors are released.  I would imagine that any price cut would start in Japan, and be for a bundle, such as Wii + WiiFit.  If inventory builds up quicker than expected, the price cut could spread to rest of the world.

Naturally, Sony or MS price cuts to at or below Nintendo's would have a bit of an impact.  But I don't see that happening.

Torturing the numbers.  Hear them scream.

^yep i guess you guys are right first they need to meet demand then drop the price

Oh, and prediction for 08.

Wii at least 40 million. 45 if more production increases are already in motion.
PS3 19
X360 25

As for the 50%, Wii will reach it in Aug 08, (N fanboys rejoice) and lose it in Dec (MS/S say 'I told you so'). Since Wii will be like this year and not drop off as much in the main part of the year, but not sell as much as MS and Sony during holidays 08.

i not very good at prediction so im gonna throw knifes in the dark...with my eyes closed (although it wont make much difference in the dark)

well with many killer titles being released in 08 (especially on the PS3) it will be the year where alot of people will upgrade to "next gen" systems

360: 22mil...twenty is a good number and i could be bothered moving me finger to the zero
PS3: 20mil...it will begin to close the gap between the 360
Wii: 36mil... i like 36 its a multiple of alot of numbers (i dunno what that has to do with console sales though)

360 might hit 1 millino units in japan

Consoles I own: Dreamcast, PSP

Even with supply constraints Nintendo is selling more than either Sony or MS, and probably next weeks sales figures will show them selling more than both combined
