Team Ico head Fumito Ueda is currently hard at work on The Last Guardian for PlayStation 3, but what would the man behind classics like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus want to make in the future? Edge asks him just that.

“If I get the chance, there are things that I’d like to make or challenge myself with, yes,” he told the latest issue of Edge.

“For instance, I’d like to make 2D games. Right now, that’s what I’d like to do – it may change tomorrow. Oh, and an FPS. Yes, I’d like to make an FPS. I play quite a lot of FPS games in my free time.”

A Ueda-developed FPS? Now, that’s probably something I’d want to play.

This might not be so bad... a Japaneses Developer is just what the FPS genre needs at some flavor to them

He should team up with Vanillaware and make the most beautiful 2D game ever.

Team Ico FPS might actually bring some color to the drab, unexciting world of FPS.

I'm not the biggest fan of FPS', but if Ueda developed it I would be pretty damn hyped for it
