Why the hell does the english version have a different soundtrack than the japanese one?.

They only translated it here and it still uses the original japanese soundtrack:

No offense, but the Japanese soundtrack sucks and does not fit the series. Actually, the Japanese dub of the manga was terrible.

I like the Japanese soundtrack way better than the "fake" one... but that's probably because I've heard the original one my whole life and the other one just doesn't sound like "Dragon Ball Z" to me when I hear it (because I've never heard it until now)

I still wonder why they changed it... it doesn't make sense to me. They could change stuff in the dialogue that doesn't make sense when translated... but why the music? :S

As for the notion that Funimation's version is fake, DB(Z) was originally a manga. Which was then turned into an anime by Toei Animation. They did their own dub and musical score without the original writer doing squat! So I don't think there is any 'true' version if you know what I mean :P

This made me watch some Goku transformations on YouTube. SS1 for the first time is so epic :P So is SS3 but not as epic as the first one... remember watching it on TV and everyone talking about it at school the day after, lol xD

Those were good days. I still get goosebumps when I watch this stuff. The ending when Goku leaves with Sheng Long (the dragon) makes me want to cry, lol xD.
