Great, another game enters the "dumbed down" generation.

Still, the story elements sound like they make up for stupid design choices.

i wasnt too interested in this in the first place since i wasnt fond of the first one, but i thought the demo was total shit and have even less interest now.  wouldnt even pick up the game for $5.

I think they are quite good. maybe this way bioware will stop dumbing down thier games.

Dragon Age 2 has a metacritic score of 84 and a game rankings score of 83 (I looked at 360 scores).

IF this was school, this is a "B" student, if this were a job performance evaluation, this employee gets their yearly bonus...and yet you would think by the comments here, that this game is in the running for worst game of the year. 

HAHA, reading comments like these make me glad I don't live in the same gaming world as some of you folks do!  No offense, but I have no need for an "elitist" or "hardcore" attitude.  I'll buy and play Dragon Age II and it will succeed or fail in my mind based upon my experience with it, not because some dude thought it was "dumbed down for the casual audience".

Well, they need more time for developing and disk capacity. How many DVDs the Xbox360 version has? DVD really struggles for this kind of game. :(

Bioware deserves it. Origins was not perfect far from it, but a little tweak to the combat to make it a little simpler, and not following their bioware cliche storyline is all they had to do. 

I like bioware for their technical achievements like graphics and voice and sound but in gameplay and story dept. they are not that good.

You know, some people actually read the text rather than looking at the final score... it's a lot more informative.
