That would be intense, but highly unlikely, although I wish it would come true x)

I think we have time on this. I wonder when the glasses free 3d tv tech is coming out. I think thats when the next box will launch. Kinect technology is going to play a big role in the way the tv's work as well, thats what I have come up with thus far.

well it's what epic thinks next gen games will look like and is running in real time on top end PC hardware so assuming that the next box uses high end parts and releases late 2012/13 I could see it happening, maybe not quite at launch tho

Yeah at launch games will look like the high end graphics of this generation - U2, KZ3, Gears 3 etc. Which is sort of impressive but not a dramatic leap imo. I don't think we'll see the graphics that Epic displayed until much later into the generation, if at all. By later I mean about the same stage as now - 6 years in.

The current Xbox360 can do 3D. I dont think that is what is stopping them releasing it imo
If Xbox3 is powerful enough, it'll be a good box to replace my desktop... probably have to be modded to make it run windows.

it would be "interesting" if the "Xbox3" allowed you to install windows on it much like the PS3s other OS feature wouldn't it...
It's very possible now that Win 8 is built to run on RISC (ARM) CPUs

I hope they anounce a new xbox at the E3 2011, with a release at the holiday season of 2012. Would make sense imho; this year they only release 3 AAA games (GoW 3, Forza4 and Kingdoms) maybe 4 (I think MS will anounce an exclusive at the E3 2011 that will be released this holiday). Compared to last year, this year hasn't got many exclusive games. That could be a sign that some developers are working on launch games for the new xbox.

could be a reason why they don't have the exclusives but I think that is due to all the work on Kinect.
I hope they're focusing on interface and bringing a refined Kinect experience, possibly a controller build to work with Kinect rather than what we have now. Graphics and power is secondary imo.
