GT5 still has 3.73m to go to not be the lowest selling GT game. That's a lot but I think it will do it. GT games have legs for days. 

 That's really put things in perspective. When i was a lurker, many people were saying it was going to be bigger then Halo 3. It's only half

well it would need to sell 5.5 million, week 10s sales were 60,069 copies

even if it remained steady at that it would take 91 weeks to merely catch up, so basically the odds of it catching up is like the same as Alan Wake is going to catch up to Gears of war 2 by 2013

 

 



You may have trouble paying attention to the story, though, given Crysis 2's constant sensory assault. This is the best-looking console game to date.

Halo 3 has been out for about 3.5 years now correct?  Gt5 been out for less than 6 months.   And you think those odds are the same?   To even compare the selling power of GT5 to Alan Wake is a joke.  What is with the horrible analogies on this website lately

and its sales have slowed to a crawl and the title has already been bundled and discounted, aside from giving it away what other options are there, i don't know any other title to sell 5.5 million on "legs" cod doesn't

You mean the very limited bundling its recieved?   And in most retailers its still full price so I dont see where all these discounts its getting.  As for its legs, why dont you check out its predecessors.

I don't see it being bundled any less than other bundles, excepting kinect adventures and wii sports...yes i see it's predecessors sales, on a different consoles in very different market to what we have now.

Tell me what the extent of the bundles that it has recieved is? 

As for the market, you are right it is in a different market on a different console.  So why claim to know that it has no chance of doing anything when you can't pull any info to back up those claims?

gt5 never lost anything! It shipped 6.4 million units in only 6 weeks!!

GT5 is selling way better than GT4.

People here forgot GT5 shipped 6.37 million in 6 weeks while GT4 shipped almost the same amount in 6 months.

That is a real comparison.

GT5 6.37 million by Dec 2010 (six weeks).
GT4 6.79 million by Sep 2005 (six months).

For comparison VGC data for same time frame:

GT5  5,076,495 (1.3 million to shipped numbers)
GT4 6,082,190 (700 k to shipped numbers)

Which game you guys think was undertracked?
