You wouldn't know based on the footage and previews we've seen so far of BF3.

wow... seriously? The videos easily demostrate BF is leagues better than CoD or any other FPS as is. Far better details, destructions, omg I can't wait to see that video in the OP in a clean HD presentation.


The graphics are obviously better, but that's about it. We don't know if the building getting destroyed is scripted or not (it probably is). The whole thing looks to be heavily scripted just like COD. That's not what Battlefield is about. It's about epic multiplayer battles on huge maps with tanks, jets and other vehicles. What they've showed so far is more like a better looking COD.

Glad someone else sees where I'm coming from.

That is video from the single player mission, so yes that earthquake which caused the falling building was probably part of the overall script of the game. However, its been rumored that catastrophy will be part of the game with earthquakes and such. So I'd expect that the destruction of buildings being simply part of the overall destruction technology and that you could lay some very good C4 and level a building respective to real life.

We already know the game itself will be almost completely destructable. (something CoD doesn't do)

We already know the game will have all the vehicle love of BF2 (something CoD doesn't do)

We already know the game will have massive awesome battlefields as all BF main series (something CoD doesn't do as well) ... obviously PC version better than Console here.

I am 100% positive that BF3 will be >>>>>>>>>> BFBC2>CoD:anything.

That looks real good. I saw a clearer version on another site. Forget which one.

BC2 was good so this shouldn't dissapoint. However, it's sad to see that 8 out of 10 PC games discussed are about graphics. Gamers should worry and discuss gameplay and story more. Graphics strictly a luxury.

OT about graphics, this easily tops Crysis 2 IMO (from current demo).

Well if the Halo remake comes out this year that will probably win most of my time.

They cant release Halo in the same season as Gears though. At least I don't think they will.

We already have Gears 3, COD MW3 and Battlefield 3 scheduled for the same Fall-Holiday season. Halo would be slaughtered.

We already have Gears 3, COD MW3 and Battlefield 3 scheduled for the same Fall-Holiday season. Halo would get slaughtered. Halo ODST then Reach and then Halo 1... a new halo every year, that's not good for preserving respect for the franchise.
