Meh probably Microsoft was trying to be cheap on their next deal so someone at Epic decided to remind them a bit that there's viable alternative now ;)

I thought that they were in a contract binding agreement with Microsoft that Gears 1 and 2 were only to be published on the 360, and they arnt contracted for Gears 3, but its their choice to go exclusive because of the way Microsoft helped them this gen.
in the same way Mass Effect 1 cant come to the PS3 either. however i'm not sure
If anything Killzone should come to Xbox not Gears to PS3.
Gears can never become a 10 million selling game so they wouldn't benefit anything from going multiplatform.
Killzone on the other hand could easily sell 5 million if it went multiplatform.
(yeah, Sony owns the franchise but Im just saying)

GOW would sell very much on PS3 but for the trilogy is nerly impossible.MS wouldn't push it in first line for Xbox and makret it so much if they could make fools out of them so they have exclusivity for the trilogy on paper.
Killzone could sell more but Gurriela is OWNED by Sony so this is impossible until Sony is makeing consoles.

There's no guarantee of that, because Killzone would be a different franchise as a whole if put on another system. All pointless for discussion either way, Killzone is as likley to go multiplatform as Zelda is. In Gears of War's case, however, it can go multiplatform if Epic so chooses. I just think it's crazy to look forward to or hope for such an outcome. |
NO guearentee, no
I meant potential.
Gears has not potential to sell 10 million. Its roof is 8 million and it will (almost meet that roof with Gears 3.
KZ theoreticly has potential to sell at least 5 million. But KZ3 is on track to sell rufly 2 million only.
Lmao... we're good Epic, you can keep it. We need some competition, I mean come on..

One week of KZ3's sales (that we don't even have yet) doesn't determine where it will eventually settle. On the flipside, just because it's a big blockbuster-type action title for Sony doesn't mean it's even entitled to sell 5 million (or that it has that potential). Some titles, no matter the perception, just don't have that kind of punch to hit more than a key few million. Really, it's not a bad thing, as Killzone has enough of a following to warrant sequels and fresh ideas, but no matter what, arguing about the potential of Killzone on any Xbox system (or about it on anything BUT a PlayStation) is a waste of time. I do agree that Gears 3 could sell 10 million if marketed right and if it punctures enough of that market, but there's no guarantees there either. |
Ok, lets drop it lol.
Actually I said Gears has not potential to ever sell 10 million. 8 mill is the roof and I fink Gears 3 will sell 7.5 million and after that the series will start slumping.
CGI-Quality said:
I was definitely confused with "has not", but I stand by my view that Gears 3 could hit 10 million. Time of release, potency, marketing, and Trilogy end could push it there. |
Ok.
How much u perdict KZ3, Homefront, Bulletstorm, Crisis 2 and Battlfield 3 (consoles sales only)?

KZ3 - 3 million. It has enough to push 500k more than KZ2. Homefront - Not sure. Seems like a potential sleeper hit, but outside of that, there's not much else to go on. Bullestorm - 3-3.5 million between the two versions. Crysis 2 - Another tricky pony. First time on consoles and is getting mixed reception right now. By release, the buzz could change, but I don't see much more than 2.5 mill between the PS3 & 360. I just think it's main fanbase reside on PC. Battlefield 3 - The bread and butter of this will be on the PC, but it has potential to break 2 million on both consoles. |
Battlefield 3 will sell at least 8 million on consoles alone. Even Bad Company 2 sold 5 mill on consoles.
Yeah, Crysis 2 risks to flop but remember it's EA behind it. They can make even Army of Two to sell 2.5 million.
I believe Crysis 2 will sell over 4 million. Actually around 5. The last Medal of Honor sold over 4 mill with poor reviews-
