@pacman  see i didnt care for Mario Kart Wii, IMHO i felt that Ninty simplified the game to appease there new blue ocean audience, which makes sense. but for me the game felt alot less challenging and rewarding thats why i rather play MNR even with the load times. excitebots is great, but its not even close to as good as NFS HP or even split/second IMO. Trackmania is good, but imo these games have an HD equivalent thats just as good if not better IMHO. to each his own. Smash Bros content is bountiful but hte online is atrocious. why can i just only play 2 min. brawl?? I f***ing hate 2min brawl where are the options??? why is the online a ghost even though 8mil people bought it.  TvsC is a great game, i should know i have it but SSF4 and Mvs.C3 blow it out the water, online is actually pretty good. for fighting games the WIi alone cannot sustain me. I need the VFs, Tekkens and SCs. Pokemon MMO might be the ONLY MMO i play

@lordtheknight for the love of god Bloodstone and GE are two different games made by dif devs from different developers. thats like comparing SF4 to new carnival games and wondering why the latter flopped. now if you wanna compare it to an HD FPS that flopped your more than welcome too

TPS and FPS are now as different as party games and fighting games? Plus what makes you think the people that chose to buy Goldeneye and those who didn't buy Blood Stone even know or care who developed it? I'm just discussing why one is selling far better. You can't really use details those people aren't likely to know to counter that.

So just a milion or two more and it'll get close to what succesfull new IPs like Bioshock or Borderlands sold on X360/PS3 not counting PC sales.

Tryly amazing achievment for a game released on a console with highest userbase, being remake of one of legendary games for Nintendo faithfull and having connection to huge movie IP.

So we've gone from "hardcore games can't sell" to "hardcore games can't sell as much as on HD platforms."  Well, that's progress.

On a completely unrelated note, how's the HD Bond game doing?

It doesn't count. Seriously, I got some people trying to argue that it shouldn't count as a Wii "core" game outselling an HD one.

I should add a lot of people were disappointed it had Daniel Craig in it. Also They hated that it wasn't the original remake with better gfx.

Those people do not knwo what they are missing out on. This version I am glad it is different it is a fresh take on the series.

It's not quite as good as the original in the single player, but still a solid game. One of my favorite moments wasn't even designed that way. I got stuck in a tunnel with half a dozen guys in front of me, and it was too hectic to try taking them out one at a time (especially with aiming mode having a horrible lag when you get out of the "dead zone"). I had a machine gun, so I just pointed and sprayed them down in a way I couldn't have done with an analog stick. There I was just a few shots from a game over, and I just cleared them all out. It was awesome.

Just got the game 3 days ago and can't wait to get back at it, due to work...

Yes, I have issues using the IR-controls, but that's how I statrted with the original in the first place, pretty bad back then. Feels like I'm re-learning FPS all over again. :)

So how many copies did it sell? 100K? 250K?

More than Bomb Stone. ;)

@lordtheknight  yes they are they are completly different genres, compare FPSs to FPSs, of course doing that would have your argument fall apart

First of all, there is a typo there, but I'm just politely pointing it out.

Second of all, you have to tell us why you think these genres are different, not merely insist they are. I don't see many people insisting Gears of War is nothing like an FPS (because the phrase "completely differrent" doesn't allow for any sort of similiarities, even in control).

^^^well for one they are from different perspectives. have you ever seen anyone say Gears of War is an FPS?? of course not, cause it isnt as for 007 well if you actually played both games, the online is different in both, there are driving sections in blood stone that are not in GE. blood stone is in a different genre than GE, no amount of twisting will change that

"have you ever seen anyone say Gears of War is an FPS"

No, you claimed that TPS and FPS are "completely different". Merely affirming that people don't call one game another genre is not proof of lack of similarities.

"if you actually played both games"

Stop trying to convince me, when I'm not discussing my feelings for the game (I'm indifferent anyway). "the people that chose to buy Goldeneye and those who didn't buy Blood Stone" is what I wrote earlier. How can you read that as assuming I'm putting down the content of the game? That doesn't even allow room for interpreting it that way.
