Mine works fine. You might want to add playing PS1 games through Remote Play!! That is awesome!

What version of the PS3 do you have? With the last update (2.0) more than a few 60gb owners were complaining of problems, while most 40/80 gb owners seemed fine.

Also, are you using custom themes? It might be a good idea to try and reset the theme, even if you are using the default XMB.

Hmm, I haven't noticed any problems and I have a 60gig PS3. I did have a news ticker problem when I didn't have an internet connection hooked up, but that's pretty much it.

I haven't downloaded it, becuase like the OP none of the new features benefit me. If it slows my console down I'll make a post here.

Works like a charm. Now if they can push out more compatibility with AVI's so I can really enjoy my entire stock of "educational" movies. :)

Well, I don't have that many, and seeing as how my PC is attached to the same display/audio setup my PS3 is connected to there isn't much point to transferring them.

has anyone had a problem with the memory? when i tried playing R&C for the first time, it said i had insufficient memory, even though i have a 60Gb with 35GB free... once i deleted a demo it worked fine. pain in the backside if it's going to say that everytime i try installing a new game...

I have one problem with firmware in general. After every update I have to reinstall my T5DR because of network errors... yeah, it sucks... besides that everything works fine. No problems with 2.1.
