Jeesh, I was expecting some people to come on here indicating they were making the big bucks...too many young people I guess.

Why is it there are a lot of skinny people and then a big jump and suddenly a lot of fat people?

Very few people responded were between 185-250.

Lots of very thing ( a 6'5 guy whos 170) and several very heavy (290) people.

You don't need to be fat to be heavy.

I weight somewhere around the 290-300 pound mark but I'm quite tall 6'5" and I'm a powerlifter. I can't speak for everyone else though but the equation is sometimes not as simple as; above average BMI = fatass.
