2. Ever change my opinion on geohotz
He's a hacker plain and simple. I don't care what he claims his goal is when hacking the PS3, the result is piracy and people downloading games instead of buying them and that's bad for everyone in the long run.
The game industry is already getting worse with more and more sequels and less original titles, and when people pirate games it makes it easier for developers not to take risks and just put out sequels. I will never support a guy like geohotz.

OT: I'd say this, the features that were removed form the PS3 which have resulted in the apparent attempts to hack the system are lame excuses as to why it took so long to hack the system. I do not approve of what Sony is doing by suing Geohot, after all they have virtually a minimal chance of waltzing off with a substantial fine, which can probably be raised via donations again. I do not condone piracy, but neither does Geohot apparently, but at the end of the day I'd much rather support a guy that at least made an attempt to make his software legitimate than a corporation that breaks down peoples doors and drags them to court.
P.S I don't think that the SCE CEO reads these forums, so it's okay to drop the facade every now and then ;_;

Know what would have really stoped them, not giving them the means, his efforts were obviously ineffective and could have just been something to point to if it ever went to court to improve his position

Is that a serious post? I hope it is a joke post which I suspect it is. If you have to hack/cheat in MP just to win then that makes one pathetic. They shouldn't even be called gamers. If you can't win by playing legit then you are a loser.

The only game that I have heard about that has had problems was CoD. And that was patched.
