GUILDFORD, ENGLAND - 24 February 2011 - We are very proud to announce three big news items for Fable III! Launching in the US on May 17, “Fable III” for Windows takes gamers back to Albion for the next instalment of the beloved “Fable” franchise.  Players can take advantage of the same great action found on the console game as well as a full 3-D functionality made possible by NVIDIA technology and a PC-exclusive hardcore mode which offers a higher level of difficulty!

Our second announcement will please our enormous fanbase for Fable III; brand new DLC!  “Fable III” Traitor’s Keep game add-on will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 560 Microsoft Points on March 1. The Traitor’s Keep game add-on continues the journey as fans venture into three new levels called Ravenscar Keep, Clockwork Island, and the Godwin Estate, taking on new quests and encountering a mysterious prisoner. Traitor’s Keep also comes packed with 250 gamerscore points and additional content.

And thirdly; “Fable Coin Golf” is launching in March exclusively on Windows Phone 7. “Fable: Coin Golf” draws upon the wealth of traditional British pub games and lets you transfer gold earned in the game to your “Fable III” game on either Xbox 360 or Windows. In addition, you can unlock three exclusive weapons that can be used in the Traitor’s Keep game add-on.

See...MS first party devs are working on something after all.  :)

So it'll be out about 6 months after the console release, have no real extras (an extra difficulty mode... lol), be infected with GfWL, probably have zero marketing, and will be released on the same day as Witcher 2. Good luck with that. I'm finding it hard to see Microsoft's supposed commitment to PC gaming, to be honest.

Nice! I've been waiting patiently :)

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

This is why, despite having a PC ad using it for gaming, I will always be a console gamer.

I just lack the cynicsm and jadedness displayed in a post above. A lot of "PC gamers" here (not all though) have this attitude and I just don't think like that... After reading the news, I'm just happy ill get to play fable 3 with 3D vision lol

The 'cynicism and jadedness' is mainly a result of Microsoft's schizophrenic actions towards PC gaming over the last 6 or 7 years. If Fable 3 had been released on the same day as the 360 version, I might have bought it, despite the horrors of GfWL. As it is, if they can't be bothered giving me a reason to buy it (I couldn't really care less about 3D gaming), then I'm not going to buy it. It's not even as if it reviewed particularly well, for a supposed 'AAA' game anyway.

@foamer  ah, you see thats the rub, you know how some people say that Ninty sabotaged VC in order to give WiiWare a fighting chance??? IMHO i think MS is doing the same thing for 360, Fable 3 could have been ready day 1 for PC, but why not put this "exclusive" on 360 first and give the illusion that the 360 has more exclusive games than they actually do. I dont think its a coincidence that Halo, GOW, and Alan Wake no longer appear on PCs. Im not knocking it, its shady, but smart buisness. I could always be wrong

yes, give MS more of a reason to not port their games to the PC. That will help...

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

I love free games.

Same day as Witcher 2?

Witcher will win that one.  Im looking forward to playing Fable III in 3D, but definitely waiting awhile.  Witcher comes first!
