So my b-day is actually right around the corner and my mom is actually planning on buying me something really nice this year. Initially I've been wanting to build a desktop to play all of the games i bought on steam sale(just cause, withcer, etc.) However my mom is sort of against that idea for some reason. I guess she doesn't trust that I can actually uild a computer and she also more comfortable putting the huge bill on a best buy card or something. I bet if i try hard enough i can convince her to just buy me all of the parts to build a computer.

So what do you guys think I should buy? Ipad 2 is likely to be announced next week but is it worth buying? A new macbook pro line has just released and my mom is interested in buying one of those. However if i decide to get a macbok pro i may not be able to get many games for the rest of the year. The 3DS+ phone deal is also pretty good- I will either get the sony arc or maybe the iphone(my bro owns a lot of apps). I can also choose to get a bunch of games (1-2 games a month). If you guys have any other suggestions please tell me.

Should i go ahead and bbuild a computer or do you think i should choose some other option?

I hate Apple, so that's 2 options gone right there. Building a computer isn't my thing so that's 3 down.

As long as its not an iphone then the 3DS and phone is a good bet and you can't go wrong with a pile of new games.

Other is a solid option too...like a 360 or some money.

Macbook Pro.. then sell it and buy a 3DS and Build your own PC.. heck you might have money left for some games..

Holy freaking crap your spoiled lol. The most my mom ever gave me was a SNES but she split it between me and my sister for both our Birthdays. 50$ is usually the most I got or get. On the other hand it seems kids these days are getting PS3's for their birthday's Christmas.

My family made me work in the berry fields and shovel peoples driveways or pull weeds so I could ear money for my games/consoles.

But since you are spoiled why not sit down and enjoy a 3DS, if your mom's planning on throwing that kind of money around ask for some games with it. If she wants to give you a phone too, heck why not.

I hope you say thank you awfully big time when you get it, not everyones parents would give their kids such expensive and great presents. P.S you get to choose your gift holy crap where's the fun in that. You should just tell your mom suprise me then it will be from the heart.
