Both my predictions correct too. Happy to see Australia out...they've had too much of a good run in the past two decades and also...Pakistan vs India semi final here we come!

One thing I didn't like though was how the Indian fans booed off Ponting in what may be his last ODI game (and that too after a great innings) but I guess some things never change.

English fans applaud cricketers from all nationalities after a good game/innings and this is an example that should be followed.

What a nice balanced exiting match. Great knock by ponting. I was fretting thinking about his knock in the 2003 final :O. It would be an awesome semi final in Mohali. I have been to the stadium for couple of matches when i was young :D

Sabby don't take the boos to the heart man. It was not nice but the young pumped out crowd does that. Indians don't play football *soccer* so this is their hooligan game. I am sure the booing crowd were just young intoxicated crowd. Sports should bring people together in the best way. I am looking forward to the next few games :)

I'm mainly a rugby union girl but being Australian, I can't help but be saturated by cricket related media so I have to follow it a little. Not too sad to see australia out to be honest, would have loved to see NZ go further just because they are hilariously inconsistent. would have been great to see them win the world cup only to lose terribly to 3rd rate teams for the next year (a not impossible outcome where they are involved). Hoping that India wins, for some reason I have always felt they are the best team in the world even though the aussie media preaches our dominance in the sport. It could be just a railing against over saturation of the sport at home or it could be that every match I have ever seen Tendulkar gets a century or close to it. He is an amazing sportsman.

Great game between India and Australia. Ponting gave it to his critics and made a great century. However, Australia's total of 260 runs was not enough to hold off a rampaging Indian batting line up. 

punter hasnt changed anything if he stays in the team it just shows the ACB (aus cricket board) is too weak to do anything and will rely on the single 100 score rather than the games and games of poor work, the crap performance as captain, the childish behaviour etc etc etc

punter proved nothing, he needs to go as captain, sick of it. But this will give him as long as he wants. Brad Hodge for example came in scored 200 not out and was dropped NSW players get as long as they want, its bollocks.

Looks like South Africa are going to be knocked out! I definetely wasn't expecting that.
