I can respect the want to see your console of choice survive, but why are the Sony fanatics in this thread so aggressive and shameless in their claims. The PS3 holds its own barely in the holiday rush and suddenly they've become fat headed when just a month earlier they were silenced by the 360's domination.

Crazyman, where were you before the PS3's boost this holiday season? Was courage not yours to be had when things didn't look so favorable? Have you not the merit to stick with the PS3 through thick and thin?

All of you who were silent, A.W.O.L., and incognito prior to the holidays, now you flood the forum with decrees of Sony domination as if the second comming of christ has been announced in PS3 form. When the generation was young there was plenty of room for speculation, now that benefit of the doubt is lacking and its pretty clear to anyone with common sense where the cards will lie this generation.

x360 sold around 8 mln. by the end 2006(without nextgen competitors), PS3 will sell around 9 mln. !

At a VERY hostile price aswell. It'l be a laugh a minute next year if Sony do what they need to do. The big games are there next year if they drop the price again it'l cause major changes.Will fanboys survive?.

Sony is going to have to stop losing money on the PS3 sooner or later (preferrably sooner in their eyes, I'm sure).

They can't keep dropping the price like they did in 2007. The bleeding has to stop. 


PS3 losses are mostly gone from last quarter onwards (writeoffs). Sony will want to make the playstation again a very attractive proposition, FOR THE FUTURE. They accept Kuturagis plan was ridiculous (how it was implemented) and as I'v said for the latter life of the ps3 and beyond Sony will make sure the playstation brand succeeds.

I'v read a fair few of you're posts. I wont critique them except to say I'm sure MS can do without you. End of 08 will be a very good time to end the "speculation" and  "benefit of the doubt" surely?.

So? Shouldn't all of the consoles benefit equally? How come the Playstation 3 is doing far better than before, and the Wii, and Xbox 360, are only doing marginally better?

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
