The reason I'm saying no is the whole 1.8 million/month thing. And according to VGC they're already sitting on two mil. So either we're overtracking or Nintendo is producing more, but if that were the case, wouldn't Ninty want to tell us that?

 retailers sitting on stock

^oh... the 1.6 million number was from your own "units left over"... my 1 million was from the December 1.8m.

Maybe you are right... Nintendo will be really rushing them out the door as soon as they get made, so air-freighting them might take just a few days.... and i forgot about the less shipping time to Japan.... quite fortunate that Japan has a seasonal rush 2 weeks after.

@ Avinash_Tyagi

Yeah, Zucas put the numbers in here and there has been some stock layover.

 Ah I see.

But yea Nintendo is going to be looking to get them out, as they know they'll sell.  Not to mention retailers are going to want them as fast as possible, and get them sold before year's end, so about a 90-95% sell through would be expected.

And not to mention as you said about Japan will help that out.
