Forums - Sales - 2011 Blu-ray Sales Percentage Tracking

It would be cool to know how Blu-ray is doing YoY-YtD. Like, the accumulated sales percentage from last year up to July compared to this year.

Also, what is Blu-ray's historical peak in a given week?

Blu-ray YTD is about 25% YTD YoY

Blu-rays peak week was just this last April, 2nd or 3rd week,  it hit 26 and then 27% back to back.  Tron Legacy was the big release that week.

Thanks! It's doing quite well I guess. I hope it continues this trend and reaches 40% by xmas next year.

Yeah. The price now is more "accessible", and im pretty sure that it will reach 50% when the price become even more accessible to the mass.
