It's a pitty. Maybe bigger titles and xmas migth change this picture. I mean, in nov and dec we should be seeing the last HP, Captain America, Pirates of the Caribean among others released in Blu-ray, who Knows?
Personally, I reckon they should start wit the exclusives already, especially with the bigger titles, that should speed the process a little. I would have done it with Avatar, actually. It would have been a killer.

They really should start with timed exclusives,  but it would have to be on a regular basis if they did that.  On average 2 or 3  movies a month for 1-2 months, exclusive to blu-ray.  That would make more people jump.

I do still think they need to make the MSRP for new movies $24.99.  that way every new release will be $19.99 or less. Because while Amazon may have good deals online for all Blu-ray movies,  the stores do not.

LOTR EE was released at the end of June, that should bring sales up I hope.

Oh it did,  since it was an exclusive Blu-ray title, technically.   It pulled in the number one spot for Blu-rays , just beating out Sucker Punch.  Those numbers should be available next week, but I am expecting record numbers.

If PS3 receives a price cut this Autumn, it could help pushing it higher...

It could but I dont think it will be by much,  the new customers may purchase  a few Blu-ray movies here and there,  but I think if they really wanted Blu-ray they would have gotten it already as the prices of stand alone Blu-ray players are pretty cheap
