Forums - Gaming - ME2 is a good game

One thing about the PS3 version--and I'm not trying to start something here--when you get Mordin, he talks about a speech than was given in ME1 ("HOLD THE LINE!") and the alien sniper, Garrus was a member of your party from ME1.  It was a pretty cool moment when I found out that HE was the Archangel.  Little things like that enhance the experience.  Glad you enjoy it, anyway.  It may be my favorite game, this gen.

Mordin used to serve under Captain Kirrahe apparently. Captain Kirrahe's speech is one of my favorites from ME1, Hold the Line!

I also made one for Vanquish - it didn't get as far because too few people bought it, though.

I'll make another one as soon as I play another game that melts my eyes with its awesomeness.

Got any suspicions as to what future game might do that to your eyes? :P

Generally these games tend to surprise me, but the next ME2 DLC is a good bet. As is ME3.

Vanquish, i just platinumed that. was an okay game imho. not brilliant. its a shame i missed the thread on it. i made a thread about Enslaved not long ago, which i thought was very good, but again missing some key ingredients. so i wouldnt mind talking about that again - now that theres news of a possible sequel on the horizon.

I like Vanquish, but it has some problems that keep it from being 'great', such as (and this is all my opinion) little enemy variety, level design gets tedious, you fight that big robot what, 4 times and exactly the same way?...the shooting mechanics and soundtrack are very good, though.

Yes, it is indeed a pretty sweet game.

First game I ever maxed out cheevos on. That says something.

So, Khuutra, when are you planning to make your next "X game is great, let´s talk about it" thread?

I remember you made one talking about Castlevania LOS and it was pretty good, lots of interesting discussions.

Looking forward to your next thread, if you plan to make one, of course.

Have you played Heavy Rain?

Yeah, i agree with that. it was too repititive imo. no real change in environment. much of the fights involved the same strategy, AR mode, headshot, etc. rinse and repeat. while the action was good, i agree it got tedious. i did like one of the missions when your in a zero gravity environment. it did have good elements. just not brilliant i think.

and Joel 12345, Heavy Rain would be a good one to do next. anyway - i wont derail the thread anymore!

I couldn't finish the first. The game was too flawed.

how is it flawed?

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Haha yeah the Archangel part was sweet. My favourite characters of 'em all had to be Archangel, Assassin and Justicar, but I liked most of them anyway.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

loving it so far. 37 hours in on first playthrough as soldier. only real annoyances so far are the cover system and trying to aim with the hammerhead craft  seems more tricky than it should be. i don't get why sometimes the missles are guided and sometimes not. maybe something i'm doing wrong.

also loading times feel like they could be a bit shorter sometimes.

overall great game that i might actually bother to plat. my only other one was Dragon Age: Origins must be a Bioware thing lol

ME 2 is a good game and I thank EA for having Bioware put out a ps3 version. I can't believe I overlooked this gem. If you like sci fi stuff, then you can't go wrong with this game. I got it for for $47 bye trading in a game for it,I would of paid full price for it easily. I like the fact that you can command your own ship and recruit people to your cause. They did a real good job making you feel like your in a sci fi epic story. So buy this game,if it's your type of game.

ive just bought it from amazon for £22 including shipping, 360 version is £12 including shipping, so for an extra £10 il have all the dlc plus game rolled onto 1 disc
