yeah that was always gonna be iffy. But collaboratively I think, I think Gears is in with a chance but U3 will do very well.

Lifetime 6.13m

Gears 2:

1st week 1.9m

Lifetime 6.15m  (still selling)

Gears 3:

last in the series, MASSIVE hype and a reasonable gap since the last one.

7m is assured imo... probably more like 7.5m by the end of its life as its the last one.

 

Uncharted1: 3.5m

Uncharted2: 4.4m (still selling)

Unchrated3: maximum of 5.5m 

 

So yeah, 2m gap is entirely possible.

Now what do you think... I am really interested to know.

Uncharted 2: 5.8 million               Gears of War 2: 6.35 million  (the gears 1 and 2 bundle could cut off sales)

Anyway all I care to say is that one advantage Gears of War 3 has is the fact that it will have been 3 years since the last installment. Games which come out too frequently are more likely to suffer from reviewer fatigue.



Thats why Uncharted 2 is alot better than the first. And got so many good reviews and awards.

I expected KZ 3 to score a lot more, so I think UC 3 will do along the lines of KZ 3 and do around 91 metacritic.

Gears should do around 90-94. Not many games are crossing 90 nowadays anyways, I think comparing the newer metacritic scores to the older one's is quite flawed because the reviewers have become stricter for some reason.

Uncharted 1 needs another 500k sales to make what you said, doubtful

Uncharted 2 needs 1.4mil doubtful...

seriously wtf also the gears 1 and 2 bundle would be included in the sales set thus include another option. It is still the game and a physical sale. I am not saying give one each but give it its own section, you cant deny the sales and simply give the uncharted serious another 1.9 mill when its only on 7.9 million...

uncharted 1 is still selling, uncharted 3 will give it a boost, so yes i think it will reach 4 million, look at its sales pattern.

also if U2 follows U1 sales pattern, it should top out at about 5.8 million

im confused by the bolded, i dont know what youre stating.

also im not discounting gears bundle, i just wasnt including it here, because its seperate, and i have no idea how it will sell, but yeah i would count it for the whole gears series but i dont think it would be fair to add it to them seperately
