I went with Gears because I think it has more room to improve from the last game. Uncharted 2 was almost flawless in its execution, so topping it will be almost impossible. Gears 2 (so far, Im not finished as I said in the other thread) is great, but there is room to push it even further.

Not that Uncharted cant reach new heights (I surely hope it does) but its hard to create sequels to games that are widely accepted as masterpieces. I see Mass Effect 3 having the same problem upon it release. It may be better than 2, but it will be hard to score better because of the greatness of the last entry.

uncharted will score betta.

Anyway all I care to say is that one advantage Gears of War 3 has is the fact that it will have been 3 years since the last installment. Games which come out too frequently are more likely to suffer from reviewer fatigue.

Anyway all we have here is a gateway to flamebait and general angst over nothing.

Most likely the company which spends the most money marketing will have the higher score given the relative quality of the franchises and developers. Therefore it is likely that Microsoft will outspend Sony on this and Gears of war will have the higher score.

Yada yada yada, saved you from reading general BS that I would have made up.

Anything that pits fanboys against each other is tripe.

MW2 had a 100 million dollar marketing budget and it was outscored by Uncharted 2. Just sayin. 

The same could be said for Black Ops and Mass Effect 2.
