and look at the PS3 having the hoursepower of super computers of around 10 years ago for US$599 launch price.

I don't think you know what a supercomputer is.

And horsepower is not a metric in use for computers, neither.

I remembered my mom buying the SNES for my sisters and I for Christmas for $200.  I had no idea that the NEO-GEO cost that much back then.  Holy wow!

It wasn't an insult. I was pointing out that you didn't know what you're talking about.

If every time someone points out you're wrong, and you take that as an insult. You have a difficult time working with people.

US$600 plus for the system and the Games cost $200-US$250 each because they were exact same as the NEO-GEO MVS arcade Carts.

All this video does is convince me that in modern days consoles shouldn't cost more then 300$. Look at NES Nintendo's first home console using cartridges, 240$ then the N64 which sold at 200$  after inflation close to 260$. Then look at GameCube 200$ again probably close to 250$ in today's market. Then the Nintendo Wii at 275.99CDN or 250$! GBA launch price 150$ which today is 180$ Then the DS another 150USD launch inflated is 167.99$.

This is why consumers say PS3 cost to much, and X-Box 360. Sure when compared to 3DO, NeoGeo, Atari2600 yah I guess its not much. But when you compare it to NES,N64,GameCube and pretty much any other Nintendo console that is just ludacris.

As a Nintendo fan I have come to expect great quality hardware at very affordable prices. Thus when I see PS3 selling at 600$ I freak. Nintendo spoils us and as that report shows they always give us more bang for our buck. Is 250 too much for 3DS well considering GBA and DS both launched at 150$ yes it is 100$ more, include inflation and GBA was still only 180$ according to the Bank of Canada's inflation calculator.

So that means that the 3DS is the most expensive handheld console produced by Nintendo to date. Of course Nintendo fans will be upset. However 250$ is reasonable as a home console as that is around what Nintendo typically charges for home units. Infact even Wii was more expensive then GameCube which after inflation is alittle over 240CDN.

$250 does sound a bit high, regardless of how much features packed it is. In the end, it's still a portable gaming device that we all got used to seeing  at $100-$150.

I don't think it will get the success that the DS has until it drops to $150. Hopefully, after 2 years after its release.

Holy CRAP!!  Who could afford that system plus games back then?  The family had to be rich or well off it would seem.

Yes, because I always assume anyone with such a firm grasp of the English language always knows exactly what they're talking about.
