Maybe I'm reading too much into your comment but, this is digital download.  I can download a game or comic book an infinite number of times, even on the PSN.  I can download games and purchased videos an infinite number of time on Xbox Live.  I can download purchased games an infinite number of times from Nintendo's online selection.  I can re-download content to any number of devices after I purchase from Amazon.mp3 or from the Kindle store.  It isn't common knowledge that you can't do this with movies/tv shows from the PSN. 

It's not a big deal, though.  Since that time, I learned how to pirate movies from the internet.  Had that PSN incident not happened, I'd still be paying for them.

I'm just saying them allowing you to download things multiple times is them being nice 

No, its them being competitive. If you can't be reassurewd that you can re download something how likely are you to buy it? Not very.

you can back it up so it's not that big of an issue to me but people are often unresonable
