Forums - Sony Discussion - Future of Killzone?

GG have a new IP in the works and I'm guessing that if that does well, then they'll just shift to that IP.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

kz4 is already been said to be already being thought up i forget what i read it off of but it did come from this site. and it wouldnt make any sense for this to be the last killzone since its only about the remaining isa forces on helghan to escape.

plus the invasion fleet at the end of kz2 wouldnt make any sense for them to put that as the side story instead of its own game.

Lets play Killzone 3's campaign first and judge later.

This.

Wait Where has anyone said that kz3 is the end of the series, ive heard that it ends pritty much teeliiing you thats theres a 4th one

.

Watched a review already that stated that the ending to Killzone 3 begs if not blantantly screams at the player that they're will be a sequel. What I find interesting now is, how will GG go about releasing KZ4 along with the new IP? Maybe a new IP first then the next Killzone? Certainly sounds quite interesting IMHO.

i wish GG would make another FPS that is much more fluid gameplay than the KZ games

SO yes a COD with KIllzone graphics xD

Oh my God. I can't even.. comprehend the audacity of this statement. But not just me, it would completely outrage all Killzone fans, and Guerilla would get about as much heat as Sucker Punch did when they changed Cole's face.

But on topic, I remember reading an interview where Guerilla subtlely stated that they were actually working on a new IP. I'm actually a lot more interested in that than KZ3, since KZ3 will probably go in the bin once BF3 comes out, and it makes me sad that so many people are bashing KZ3 because of the abudance of FPS's coming out.

Killzone 3 should be able to stack up nicely against BF3.

of course Killzone 4 will come...they already "hint at that" in a interview...

Probably a few prequels akin to the Halo Reach then further installments afterwards. Like in every franchise, I think company would be foolish not to use the IP's name or story to develop more games and bring in more cash.

i'll second the last part, but the first part sounds uninviting and not innovative but theres alot of that going around right stan lol! it really depends on how KZ3 ends?

on topic: i'm not sure how well known it is but GG are working on a new FPS, and i'm not sure wht to expect from this new ip but wht ever it turns out to be i'll keep my eyes out for it as i'm sure most of you will be.

i see the new IP being released first as i'm suree there thinking KZ needs a break! i'd be nice to see the new ip and if it changes the way GG make games play.

i'm realy hateing useing R1 as the shooter button in the demo and now closed beta. cumtomizable controles like those seen in the Resistance franchise is something dev's should keep in mind but thats me rantting.

I bet guerrilla will get yearly installments of it to get the max amount of $ out of the name.

They aren't activision.
