The last europe-wide event was the fateful encounter Arceus, with the Azure flute, on Platinum. Before that I don't remember such a widespread event, since most european Pokemon events were left to the sporadic Nintendo events or competitions.

That's awesome, then. It should hype the games a lot if this has only happened once before.

Well, there's lot of Pokemon White/Black pre-order bonus and other misc related stuff in almost every FNAC and GAME stores here in Portugal. I've got my Pokemon White pre-ordered for a long time, but I'm also pondering getting Black as well.

Pokemon is kinda big here in Portugal, but not as much as it was during the Gold/Silver era. We had the cartoons, competitions, TCG tournaments and all kinds of Pokemon craze.

Yeah, it works via the Mystery Gift tab on the start menu of either Pokemon HG or SS. After receiving the Voucher, you'll notice a man wearing a green cap on the next Pokecenter you enter on the game, and you'll get the event going.

Also on a side note, you need to have the National Dex to activate this event as well.

Is that to activate the in-game Celebi event in the forest or to actually recieve the pokemon. If its the latter, I need to get a move on.

It's the Celebi Event I think. You recieve a Celebi which you can then take to the Shrine in Ilex forest to battle Giovanni.

Ah, I figured that seeing as part of that event looks like it takes place in kanto, but you got me worried for a minute there
