Activision will sooner or later release a console. They are making their first party.

Great idea. Piss away tons of money putting out their hardware and sell significantly less software.

I'm reluctant to believe that's a direction Activision wants to go. Espeicially with the financial behemoths running the game hardware industry now.

remember when EA was going to release there own console lol

that would of been an disaster

Right, I was thinking about that.

EA became huge essentially depending on the userbase of every console, computers, and mobile devices. Same goes for Activision.

Releasing games for their own hardware in an already flooded market is just nuts.

you know what i dont get activision caters more to microsoft due to call of duty the time map packs deals etc why doesnt microsoft just buyout activision blizzard lol

what i dont get is that this hole activison to create there own console thing. unless they are planning on calling it the call of duty box they dont make any other games.

The only games i am seeing from activison are call of duty and prototype

It serves Take Two's useless executives and management if they do get bought out. They are from what I've read the hight of incompetence and innefficiency. To not make money when you've got games like GTA selling 15 million plus copies is just rediculous.

Makes sense. EA barely managed to avoid it because of their own financial troubles, which Activision has been avoiding, and Take Two is just too poorly managed to survive on its own in the long run

Can you explain how Take 2 is poorly managed? I'm serious as I really dont know that.

If you're a company that can lose money in GTAIV's fiscal year, you're poorly managed Though they might have done better since then, i haven't kept up with their financials

Not to mention they're perfectly fine with letting games have huge dev teams and over 5 years of development while expecting to take a huge loss. Just look at how long it took for them to finally realize that Duke Nukem Forever wasn't a financially good move...

Does that mean Bioshock series is also in danger?

Gearbox owns Borderlands, though they might have an exclusive publishing deal in place with 2K.  Same for Croteam and Serious Sam.  TT has no involvement with Tropico anymore though, they definitely don't own that (Kalypso published Tropico 3-4).
