the game is pretty cool but far from flawless. Personally i like the first one better, MGS

This goes for me, too. I bought my PS3 at midnight, the day this game launched. I was so high off of MGS3 and the promise of power that this new console offered that I couldn't help but be let down. I was pretty disappointedwith MGS4 at first but over time, it got better. Still my absolute least favorite MGS game but that's like getting to have sex with my least favorite super model.

I haven't read the whole thread, but just wanted to say that I agree with the OP. It's the best experience I've ever had playing a game.

Demon's Souls is right up there, too, though. And Mass Effect 2. And Alan Wake. I'll just stop now.

Couldn't agree more. Not only is MGS4 my favorite game of this gen, it's my favorite game of all time (that dates back to sega Genesis times). Amazing game.

Actually only played through it once. Wanted to play through the rest of the series before I played through MGS4 again, so I can understand what's going on a little better. Bought MGS 1-3 in a set recently. Played MGS1 as a kid and didn't really think it was that great (never even finished it). Now I played all the way through MGS1 about a year ago, and was blown away. Can't wait to play MGS2 & 3 for the first time. The series really is one of a kind.

Uncharted 2 is my #2 of all time.
