several possible explanations for why ff was killed.
EDIT: tl;dr at bottom
I'll preempt by saying I expected one of my detractors to die. FF wasn't on my radar at the time and I really thought it was going to be noname for making that really bad decision of "making me his enemy". I thought for sure noname was going to get the put-suspicion-on-prof treatment due to both his stated crusade against me, and his semi-withdrawn play so far. (Not that you are withrawn, noname, but that you COULD fit the bill for a power-role.)
To get started;
Killing FF does several things in relation to me
a) FF is a barrier to my play. He questions me with exaggerations and generally derails my thought process as all I notice are his exaggerations and start arguing over semantics. Even if I put down a solid point, he will say something like, "that's just what you want us to think".
b) FF was willing to lynch Trash. Trash is also my suspect (pretty much confirmed in my eyes) This is possibly done in combination with A.
To extrapolate on both points;
a1) Killing FF does place suspicion on me. If the goal of this kill were to make me look scum, I'd say this was a decent choice, but probably not the best choice. This kill appears too overtly indicative to actually be indicative of anything. Of course, were FF here, he would say I would do this to "hide in plain sight".
a2) On the other hand, and probably very unlikely, they would do this not to implicate me, but to implicate the people I either suspect, or the people who suspect me by merit of trying to APPEAR to take me out. I honestly don't believe this is the case as it's too complicated. This is more likely something I would do if I were mafia, and after being mafia once, I know that I can't trust the townies to figure something like this out and play into my hands (no offense).
b) Removes someone that was on my side for an upcoming lynch. Not really much else to comment on in this point.
What interests me the most, is why haven't they simply killed me yet? Are they really expecting me to be lynched on suspicion? If so, why the hell would you take out FF? He'd be on my bandwagon immediately. Are mafia really expecting people to be so suspicious that they'd be willing to lynch me based on FF's death alone? I can't believe that, honestly. This is why the plan looks devious to me; because it's too obvious. So, are the mafia the people that I want to lynch, or the outsiders?
I still firmly believe that trash is one, and if they've "given up" on her, then I could see how it's the case that the other is an outsider, but who would that be?
Well, aside from this long post, I think it was a pretty meh choice for a kill. Still, some things to think about
tl;dr: FF's death impicates me, but does it implicate me too much?
