A couple people now are making this distinction. "I read the word scalpel, but didn't think it meant anything". 

My thoughts are, ironically, "no shit, sherlock". You read the word scalpel, so did everybody. I'm asking if you knew he was the doc based off of this.

I'm going to take your reply as NO to both.

I did not consider the question of whether the scalpel meant anything.

I really think prof is leading us on a huge wild goose chase, and my suspicion is that he's doing it on purpose.  I only hope I'm doing more good than harm by participating.

I completely disagree. This makes it now 6 people who didn't notice that it was a clue (with a close margin on linkzmax). Stefl is the last one that has to answer, and if he says the same, that will make 7 people who've said they didn't notice.

What I find most interesting is that I've been saying that the people who didn't notice are the most suspicious, and now both you and radish have come out challenging the semantics of what "noticing" constitutes before putting yourselves in the "suspicious" category.

Yours is particularly interesting in that you vehemently disagree with the whole thing. Here's a pro-tip FF. This isn't 100% concrete, and everybody knows that.

It's like:

P: So then you didn't really notice it, you just saw the word and glossed over it

First off, "notice".  I read the flavor, I noticed the flavor, I just didn't notice it in the sense that I was looking for clues and noticed that it was a clue.  This is because I was not looking for clues yet.  YOU attributed context that I did not share.  I didn't "gloss over" anything. 

As for your conspiracy theory, my interpretation is correct and yours was not.  As for "TOS basically said you were wrong", that would depend on what you mean.  TOS indeed said that you read into his comments excessively, but (rightly) DID NOT comment on the factual question of whether your conclusion (mafia didn't notice/discuss Scalpelgate) was right regardless of your reasoning being wrong. 

The yomi plot wouldn't be just to make us think you're scumhunting but to distract the town with this bullshit so that we aren't doing more legitimate scumhunting.  And it's not much of a prediction when I've already said so.

oh and by the way, you're wrong.

You aren't doing more good, you're blowing this up.

I just wanted a simple list of people and what they thought. People are PLACING themselves in the suspicious category by saying they didn't notice it. If mafia are lying then it's a pretty awful tactic to make yourself MORE suspicious by doing so.

You are the one questioning and drawing attention and talking about nothing other than my question.

You want to do more important things? Go ahead. Nobody is stopping you.
