Forums - Gaming - okay its been like 3 months+ Does Kinect work

yes it works great with Kinect adventures( does need a little room), Kinect sports and Dance Central. My girl loves your shape evolved ( have not tried personally).

The only game  that I tried that was just made poorly was, Game Party in motion. Great ideas for games but you can tell they totally rushed this game out the door. Shame on you Warner bros.

I don't care if you like them or not, the thread is about how the games PLAY and they play well.

Must you try and ruin most Kinect threads?

Me? I almost don't comment on Kinect threads... are you confused?

And he is question opinions about Kinect... so why you can give your and I can't give you mine?

My opinion... Kinect play fine and good but the software (games) now is weak... the problems with Kinect is not hardware based just software is not on pair with it now.

AND THE THREAD IS ABOUT OPINIONS... READ THE OP AGAIN.

You read the fucking OP, he's not asking what games are GOOD, he's asking which games WORK. And the majority do.

Your invalid and biased opinion on what Kinect games you LIKE, is irrelevent, predictable, annoying and unwanted. Go away.

Ok. You are always right... so forgive me.

Kinect natural lag problems remain there, however with good software tweaking you can almost blend it to the point that you just get into the game and somewhat forget you're having lag. Kind of Wii without motion plus.

The biggest issue that it still has is the limited 2 player multiplayer...

Kinect has been slightly falling on the charts too. At the end of March we will see how it will trend from now on without a multimillionaire campaign.

I would have to agree with seece. It is normal to see a biased flamed post from you. Most times It's a lot worse then what you have written here but people have noticed. Usually you bash anything MS.

You're correct, Kinect has a natural lag. They explained it well in this Kinect Sports video, it wouldn't feel right if your avatar jumped in sync with you. The lag doesn't affect gameplay when you're playing, it's as if it isn't there.

The biggest issue that it still has is the limited 2 player multiplayer...

Well KS and KA have co-op, Dance Central 2 has 2 players simultaniously. I guess the launch SW was just like a showcase, the newer stuff should be better.

Kinect has been slightly falling on the charts too. At the end of March we will see how it will trend from now on without a multimillionaire campaign.

Kinect had shortages in the U.S (dunno about elsewhere) but there will be a big SW push in April and more marketing, this will revitalise sales.

In your first point, even if the avatar feels right in sync with you it doesn't matter. The lag comes from the hardware itself, developers can't do nothing to eliminate it, however from my hands on with Kinect, if you get immerssed by the game you won't notice it and you can have fun. And yes, it affects gameplay if you move too quickly, but as you don't need to move quickly, just don't and it works fine.

About multiplayer, sure newer stuff can be better, but always with 2 players, not 3 or 4, that was my point.

About April, I have no idea, guess we'll have to wait and see...

Hmmm, when broken into it's most basic form, the op reads:

"I saw someone play Kinect and think it sucks.  So just admit it sucks like the Wii did at launch, okay?"

Interesting way to form a question IMO...

Regardless, I have had Kinect since launch; I have used or watched people use Kinect Sports, Dance Central and Adventures in one-on-one play and party situations.

The simple straight answer is, the hardware works - period.  IT's not without it's quirks or idiosyncracies, but it does work.  In party situations I had people of all ages slipping into and out of Dance Central and Kinect had no trouble with the switching.

On top of that, it's fun - when people are playing, they are having fun, you can tell.

All that being said, Microsoft and their partners have to deliver consistent software to keep it's owners engaged or it won't matter how much it does work.
